Vocational and Return-to-Work Programs

Our full-time credentialed Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant writes the job analyses and job offer letters your return-to-work claims depend on. Under Washington Administrative Code, only a credentialed VRC can write one.

Why the byline on the job analysis matters

Washington Administrative Code doesn't leave the question of who can write a job analysis open to judgment. Only a credentialed Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant may write one, and BridgeMark keeps a full-time VRC on staff for exactly that reason. A job offer built on an analysis the writer wasn't qualified to write is an offer that can come apart later, when a claim manager, an attending provider or the worker's own advocate questions who actually wrote it and on what authority. Our VRC completes the light duty job descriptions and job analyses directly, meets with the attending provider to review them against the worker's real restrictions, and only then puts a job offer letter in front of you. Where the worker's primary language isn't English, that letter goes out in the worker's primary and secondary languages, so there's no argument later that the offer wasn't understood.

What lands on your desk

You get a job description and a job analysis written by someone Washington Administrative Code actually recognizes as qualified to write them, reviewed with the medical provider before it goes out, not after. That's a light duty offer that holds up if it's questioned later, and a worker who received it in a language they can actually read. It also means our vocational team, not you, is the one tracking which private sector vocational counselors are involved and keeping them current on where the file stands.

Private sector coordinationThe VRC's file touches more than one desk.

Three documents, one credential behind all of them

A return-to-work claim moves through a short, specific sequence of paperwork, and each piece depends on the one before it being done right.

Per Washington Administrative Code (WAC) only a credentialed VRC can write job analyses.

Light duty job descriptionWritten against the worker's real restrictionsOur VRC builds the description from what the worker can actually do, not a generic posting, so the medical provider is reviewing something specific.
Job analysisWritten by someone WAC says can write itThis is the document a credentialed VRC has to produce. Ours does, on staff, without waiting on an outside contractor.
Job offer letterIssued only after the medical reviewThe letter goes out after the attending provider has reviewed the job description and the analysis, in the worker's primary and secondary languages where that applies.
