First claim reviewNo response time, meeting length or price is promised here.

What a first claim review actually covers.

We go through your open claims against your L&I account, one at a time: where each one stands with the claim manager, whether a job analysis or a light duty offer is realistic for the worker involved, and whether an L&I financial incentive program applies to a claim that has not claimed it yet.

If a Department order on any claim looks wrong, we tell you, and we tell you what protesting it involves. If your loss run shows a claim that has drifted without anyone pushing it, that is usually where the review spends the most time, because a drifting claim is the one costing the most in premium later.

Working out what is missing from your side is part of the review too. Bring what you have, not what you think we expect.

What to bringBring what you have. Working out what is missing is part of the review.

Four things that make the first review faster.

None of these are required to reach out. They are what lets the first conversation start on your actual claims instead of on paperwork.

L&I accountYour L&I account numberThe account your Department of Labor and Industries premium and claims are tracked under. It is the starting point for looking at anything else.
Open claimsThe claim numbers you want looked atAny open claim, or one you think should have closed already. We go through them one by one against where the claim manager actually has them.
L&I Financial Incentive ProgramsYour current loss run or claim cost reportWhatever accounting of claim cost you already have. It tells us where the premium pressure is coming from before we open a single file.
WAC / credentialed VRC onlyLight duty job descriptions already in useIf light duty offers already exist for any role, bring them. Our credentialed Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant can only write a valid job analysis against a real description of the work.
